Fuck this bullshit ass fucking game it's rigged it's always been rigged it doesn't matter that it's predetermined, it's that the predtermination is in favor 70/30 to your opponent. They'll get a heads on 4 thundershocks in a row and on their last one where it doesn't matter if it paralyzes you because its gonna knock you out, they'll get a tails

omg 11 years ago im starting my first evil run right now as we breathe

i always just saved the game before and didn't need throbbing cherries. if i failed to hit them with the capsule then i reloaded the save game :| and yeah it requires some timing with flying enemies but definitely doable

It's not predetermined at the start of the game or at the start of the fight. It can be cheesed if you do something in between doing it and doing it again, for example: If you use a pokeball and you get tails, immediately turn off the game and hit continue duel(or use a save state, either way) then do something else like place an energy or use another trainer card or wait till your next turn to try again. And the next time you use it there's a chance it'll be different. It's just an rng. I've done this many many times. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if this works with attacking as I've only ever tried it with trainer cards. So there is that potental caveat.
